The Land of Water, Mizu no Kuni, is in essence a large seacoast and a collection of numerous islands. Due to being right next to so much water, the area is often thick in mist. The village Hidden in the Mist is located here.

The Land of Wind, Kaze no Kuni, is in essence a large, wide and very overwhelming dessert of great proportions. This large desert acts as a natural defense against enemies. The Village Hidden in the Sand resides here.

| Ishi no Kuni (1 sub-board)
The Land of Stone, Ishi no Kuni, is a large amount of scale mountain ranges and peaks. These act as a natural barrier against enemies and also harden shinobi that train in them. The Village hidden in the Rocks is located here.

The Land Of Lightning, Rai no Kuni, is a dense area with scattered forests and plains that are ravaged by lightning and constant strikes. The Village Hidden in the Storm is located here.

The Land of Grass, Kusa no Kuni, is in terrain similar to the land of Fire, covered with a large amount of similar forests and plains. The Village Hidden in the Grass is located here.

The Land of Rain, ame no Kuni, is a collection of dense tropical forests that has an almost continuous rainy season. The Village Hidden in the Rain is located here.

The Land of Waterfalls, Taki no Kuni, is a land surrounded by many steep cliffs and waterfalls and possessing numerous pool basins. The Village Hidden in the Waterfall is located here.
